9021-Oh-my-God-He’s-Naked! Ian Ziering, 49, will be taking it off as a guest headliner for the Las Vegas production of the famous (infamous?) all-male dance show Chippendales. He said in a statement: “I am passionate about health and fitness, so I’ve kept in shape, and dancing is something I’ve always enjoyed, so I figured why not?” Ziering’s four-week appearance will include performances every Thursday through Sunday at the Rio on the strip. His run ends June 30, so book those tickets now!

Isla Fisher had a baby, so she gained weight. News! Not really, but she did have an extra 70lbs to lose after the baby popped. In Hollywood 70lbs is the ideal body weight – so basically she had to drop the equivalent of one Calista Flockhart! She told Fitness: “After I had my second daughter, I slowly lost the weight by breast-feeding, hiking [L.A.'s] Runyon Canyon and working with a trainer every couple of weeks.”

Splash is sending pseudo-celebs home in bandages, as Nicole Eggert suffered injuries to her back and kidneys during a dive — three contestants have already dropped out due to medial reasons. Chelsea Lately assistant Chuy Bravo was the first to leave after fracturing his foot during practice. former pro-skier Rory Bushfield ruptured an eardrum, and pageant queen Katherine Webb also quit due to injury. Looks like Kendra Wilkinson simply quitting by saying “diving is not my thing” was one of her smartest statements to date!

Rachel Ray is being sued by a former guest who says the trainer she was assigned after she begged to lose weight on national television was too hard on her. Please put this bitch on The Biggest Loser and let Jillian tear her a new asshole. Case closed.

Wanna slink like ScarJo? Her trainer revealed a secret move that tones, tightens and titillates! In one move, legs, arms and core muscles are activated. Do this “sexy body core move” and you’ll be squeezing back into those form-fitting tights in no time: Standing straight up, bend to touch your toes, keeping knees straight. Crawling out with your hands, keeping your knees stiff, so that you’re stretching glutes and hamstrings. Walk your hands out to a plank position. Do a knee tuck by crossing your right knee toward your left shoulder. Do one knee tuck with each leg, then walk your hands back slowly, stand up and stretch toward the sky. Do the entire move 10 times.

Gleb Savchenko didn’t last long his first season on Dancing with the Stars. Without the eye candy, I’m no longer interested in watching. BREAKING UP WITH AMERICA over voting him off, as well. That was a dick move.

“I’m not really a party person,” Savchenko said in a recent interview. “I like to have a good sleep because we’re dancing all day and we start early in the morning. I like to live a healthy life. I like to go to the gym and the beach. I like to get a suntan and lay by the pool. I don’t really drink alcohol that much. I’m telling the truth.”

Ok, SO HE’S BORING. But beautiful! Word has it he’s looking for a place to live permanently here in Hollywood.

“L.A. is my favorite place in America,” he added. “You can’t beat the weather. It’s not a city with a lot of tall, concrete buildings and everything just kind of in one place. You can see the blue sky and you have fresh air … I love driving. You can drive everywhere in L.A. People say, ‘Oh, your life is terrible, there’s traffic.’ But I’m from Moscow originally, and to get from one place to another place can take two-and-a-half hours. It’s actually really bad traffic, so I feel like in L.A., there’s no traffic. It’s easy. I just love this city.”

Okay, so maybe, just maybe I’m a little obsessed with age this week. It’s TOTALLY NATURAL you guys. Everyone does this around their birthday, I’m sure. My aunt once locked herself in the bathroom, so I think I’m doing quite well with getting older. My condition is sure to improve once people stop telling me how good I look “for my age.” GAHHH!!!

“I’m actually…psyched to get older because I think you get more comfortable with yourself, and it’s more interesting, and the roles — the size doesn’t really matter. Usually those kinds of roles are more interesting,” she continued. “For me as an actress. . . it takes something very special for me to want to leave my life.” -Winona Ryder

Every year, I hold tight, take a deep breath and admit I’ve gotten… *gasp* older. I’d like to say “more mature” instead, but we all know that would be a big fat lie. Maturity is totally overrated, you guys. On the other hand, celebrating your birthday never gets old!

When I started this blog, on a mission to be “better by 30,” I honestly never thought beyond 30. Now it’s just about being a better me one day at a time.

LAST YEAR I WAS ROCKING OUT IN MY BIRTHDAY SUIT!

I have every reason to celebrate on my special day — and so do you on yours. Don’t be one of those curmudgeons who can’t just STFU and have a good time. Why sit life out and live on the sidelines; you are the main event!

Take your cue from self-obsessed Hollywood types (like me!) and make sure to announce the day with big plans. Let the world celebrate you, by celebrating yourself.

Being “better” isn’t just physical; it’s also mental and spiritual. Celebrate yourself by actively finding ways to further develop and explore the elements that make you who you are.

When I was little, there was like one fat kid in class. Now there’s one skinny kid. I also had a mom that cooked every single night, dad pitched in too. When we ate out, it was always a treat.

Some 97% of nearly 3,500 kids’ meals analyzed don’t meet basic nutritional standards, the Center for Science in the Public Interest said in its report “Kids’ Meals: Obesity on the Menu.” Fried chicken fingers, hamburgers, French fries and sugary sodas dominate children’s menus in most chain restaurants, and most kids’ meals fall short of meeting basic nutritional standards. -CNN

I don’t think anything has changed since I was a kid, so good work CSPI that’s some really great reporting in a timely manner. Seriously though, even the most wretched menu choices can’t take all the blame for kids being fat. It’s because that’s ALL they eat, on the daily. Dining out isn’t so special with many modern parents. I’m not saying olden times are better (old man: get off my lawn!) but the world has evolved to on-the-go living. So have our food choices. There’s much more selection, and evermore salty/fat/sugar-filled options disguised as a healthy, quick and easy alternatives to real, nutritious food.

I don’t recall the source (probably TV), but remember hearing recently about a concerned father who took his kid to the doctor to find a way to make the kid eat his veggies (some scare tactic, in which the good doc was supposed to tell the kid he wouldn’t grow or whatever). The doctor asked if the dad ate vegetables regularly and of course the answer was no! The dad really liked grilling, so upon getting some ideas from the doc, started grilling up fresh veggies for the whole fam, getting everyone to eat healthier.

It really isn’t rocket science, you guys.

Better DIET: Should you eat breakfast or not?!? I just want a definitive answer that’s easy to comprehend, because this shit is confusing. While there are seemingly only two answers, yes and no, the reasons behind them vary greatly.

Here’s the problem: Everybody wants a simple answer. Actually that’s not a problem, a simple answer would make sense. The problem is that everybody is different. WE are the problem! People are complicated! One answer does not fit everyone!

MYTH: People who eat breakfast are thinner. The science behind this myth shows that breakfast eaters are 30% less inclined to be overweight or obese. This may be true, but not necessarily because they eat breakfast. Skipping a meal isn’t what causes someone to be overweight, it is the poor nutritional habits they exhibit throughout the rest of the day. Plenty of people skip breakfast and are thin because they make healthy food choices when they do eat. Someone could very well have a diet coke and a Butterfinger for breakfast, so just eating breakfast in and of itself isn’t the key factor.

BOTTOM LINE: Find what works. If you force yourself to have breakfast — especially a sugary cereal and milk — you’re going to get a lot more calories, which could throw off weight loss goals. Skipping a meal can make you hungrier later in the day, also derailing weight loss. For others, eating in the morning seems to open a flood gate to their appetite, and they want to nosh the rest of the day. Generally, it is thought best to have something within the first few waking hours — but more importantly, it is vital to eat foods high in nutritional value (rather than a bagel, pop tart, or the aforementioned Butterfinger and Diet Coke).

I typically have a coffee and something small that delivers energy, like a protein bar. A shake is great too. Sometimes I have a piece of fruit and some cottage cheese or a bowl of oatmeal. Although I love eggs and bacon, I prefer those at night.

“The choice to live in fear and hate, or to grow in compassion and wisdom, is yours to make …every moment of every day. This is probably the oldest wisdom, and it has never been hidden. You create the world you ‘choose’ to live in. This may mean more to humanity now than it ever has, if, as our spiritual leaders teach, this is “the time” spoken of in the Ancient Sacred texts. It doesn’t necessarily mean you or I won’t suffer, but it does mean we have the choice, and the power, to enrich our life, to engage and create a new life, or simply throw it away.

I say, the tragedies that are propagated upon us are propelling us to where, ultimately, ‘we choose’ to go. And our choices are shaping this world, your world, our reality, in ways we can only imagine. Imagine… Keep Imagining… As the teacher spoke, ‘We are the ones we have been waiting for,’ …choose …imagine… that.”

I see all the ways people visit my site. This week the best LOL search came from people wondering all about teabags and these other things that are almost related to health and fitness. #soclose

Gold star search: Teabag exercises. I’d honestly like to know what sick perv is looking for teabagging exercises, because I want to shake his hand (provided it has been washed recently). Sex is the ultimate workout, you guys.

Silver search my little fat belly – this was probably the closest thing to a real, yet lol-worthy, search term. Little fat belly is an oxymoron, but you can make your fat belly little in no time with these 8 quick slim secrets.

Jesse Metcalfe porn gets a close 3rd place bronze, because he’s such a third-rate celeb. But I’d totally watch.

Most popular searches this week: Cory Monteith shirtless and Shia LaBeouf getting buff.

Have you wanted to eat healthier but you’re just not sure where to start? This short beginner’s guide can help get you on your way to eating healthier, losing weight, and improving your sense of well-being.

Ditch Diet Fads: Eat Healthier to Get Skinny
Trying to lose weight on fad diets and diet pills never works. The secret to getting skinny is a healthy diet. When you eat healthy, you give your body the nutrition it needs to function at its best. Whole foods are filled with vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats that keep you full, nourished, and satisfied.

Eat Nutrient Rich: Healthier Foods Improve Your Mental Health
Mood swings, insomnia, depression, and anxiety are common 21st century health problems. When you eat healthier, you not only have a healthier body but a more stable emotional state. In this day and age where the Standard American Diet is the norm, millions of people are living with multiple vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Vitamin D, omega 3, B vitamin, and magnesium deficiency can all contribute to the symptoms of mental illness. When you eat nutrient-dense foods, you’ll enjoy an overall sense of well-being and calm.

Become a Label-Reader
So many people shop by look and taste. They like the way the product looks on the bag or box and they’re addicted to the taste. Few people turn over a food product to look at the ingredients. One of the easiest ways to eat healthier is to become a label-reader. Force yourself to turn each package over and read the ingredients carefully. You’ll be amazed at some of the additives, preservatives, and chemicals in the food you eat every day.

High fructose corn syrup, for example, has been clinically-proven to cause obesity. Aspartame, commonly found in soda, is a potent neurotoxin. BHT and BHT, often found in breakfast cereal, is a known carcinogen. Soy lecithin, an emulsifier found in many pre-packaged foods, is over 90% GMO-derived, which means you’re eating pesticides in every bite!

Shop the Perimeter of the Grocery Store
When you want to eat healthier, you’ve got to know how to shop. The next time you go to the grocery story, shop the perimeter first. Pick up your organic vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry, fish, and dairy products — and then duck into the aisles to pick up some nuts, beads, and whole grains. This way, you’ll be less tempted to grab those impulse buys just because the picture on the package looks tempting.

Eat Organic
A healthier diet means eating organic whenever possible. This is especially important when it comes to meat, poultry, and fish. Conventionally-raised meat products are pumped full of growth hormones and antibiotics that may cause serious health problems such as diabetes, thyroid disease, autoimmune disease, and cancer.

Plan Meals Ahead of Time
When you have healthy food in the house, you eat healthy food. This is why, to eat healthier, you should plan your meals. Before you head out to shop, look over some healthy recipes first, then write down the ingredients you’ll need. Organic apples, nut butters, string cheese, nuts, seeds, vegetables, and hummus make excellent guilt-free snack foods.

Stop Drinking Soda
One of the easiest ways to improve your diet is to stop drinking soda. High fructose corn syrup and aspartame are horrible. Just giving up this one thing can help you lose several pounds — in a single week. Soda can be very addictive so taper off slowly, especially if you like the caffeinated kind, or you’ll end up with withdrawal headaches.

Just remember that processed food withdrawal does exist. You’ll have cravings but you can do it. Drink plenty of water, get lots of rest, and keep some organic dark chocolate to boost your mood and a small bag of organic potato chips for those sudden salt cravings.

When you eat healthier, you feel better. Those aches, pains, and sudden mood swings will start to disappear while a whole new world of health emerges.
