Last week I posted a few laundry tips for dirty boys and girls. It seems I missed a few things. Sequins, shiny spots on leather, jock strap care and crusty stain removal. I don’t know what I was thinking! Those seem as obvious as glitter or super fluffy towels.
Crusty stain removal: First, let it soak in hot water. Then, get some washing liquid and baking soda and a toothbrush. Put the washing liquid and soda on the stain, rub it in and scrub.
Sequins: If it doesn’t say dry clean only, turn it inside out, wash on gentle in cold water. Lay out to dry.
Preserving jock straps: Wash in cold water, hang dry. Same for thongs! Since they’re mostly elastic, they often get warped in the dryer.
Remove shiny spots off leather: Rub corn starch or talcum powder on the stain immediately until it is absorbed.
